Masters: Panteion University in Regional Development, (1979) and in Urban Planning from New York University, (1983). PhD, University of the Aegean – Department of Environment, (1996). Doctoral thesis topic: “The effects of the organization of the Olympic Games on large Urban Centers”.
Professional career: collaborated with the Ministry of Planning and Urban Development, Housing and Environment, the Center for Planning & Economic Applications, the Ministry of Culture as Coordinator of the National Cultural Network of Cities and the Ministry of Education. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of the State Real Estate Company, the Public Enterprise for Urban Planning & Housing, the Music and Educational Organization of Greece, the Thessaloniki – Cultural Capital of Europe Organization, the National Foundation for Returnees. He has served as General Secretary of the Ministry of Merchant Shipping. Member of the Nomination Dossier drafting team for the 1996 Olympic Games and Head of the “Athens 2004” Nomination Dossier drafting team. Today he is President & CEO of the project consulting company DEKATHLON S.A., of which he was a co-founder, with a major contribution to studies of Olympic and Sports Facilities in Greece and Abroad. He is the Chairman of the Board of Directors. of the Public Benefit Foundation “D.&L Stavropoulou: The House of the Greek Student”.

Sports Administration Experience: He has served as a member of the Board of Directors in the following Sports Organizations and Federations: Hellenic Football Federation, Hellenic Equestrian Club, Philip Union of Greece, Olympic Sports Center of Athens (OAKA), Panhellenic Gymnastics Association, International Olympic Academy, National Olympic Games Academy. He has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors. of the Hellenic Archery Federation (EOT) and CEO of the Athens 2004 Olympic Games Organizing Committee.
